For most of my early life I moved around, my Mom was looking for her place in the world and ended up joining the Air Force.  Because my Mom was active duty we moved around in the Northwest for a couple of tours before moving to Germany for eight years.  During those 8 years in Germany I spent a lot of time out doors or reading, sometimes both.  My older brother and mother are voracious readers and I took up their passion for reading when I was around ten years old.  From the day I picked up my first book (Piers Anthony’s “Ogre, Ogre” if you must know), I haven’t been without a story in my hand or in my ears.  Sometimes I’d read two or three books at a time.  I went in to the Air Force right after high school and served 4 years in active duty, the first 2 in Germany and finishing out my active service in Colorado.  I moved to Florida back in 1996 and have been here ever since.  I was only out of the Air Force less than two years and missed it so much that I went back in as a reservist.  For most of the past seventeen years I have served as a reservist in the Air Force, only taking a couple years off to earn Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, graduating Cum Laude.  I’m currently working at Patrick AFB as a Unit Training Manager Air Reserve Technician for the USAF.  I’m an amateur poet, with a small book of unpublished poetry.  Because I love stories so much, I wove together some stories for my daughter and even had one illustrated.  I’m pleased to say that some of my love of reading, writing, and singing was enough of a seed to plant that my daughter has grown to be a talented singer, songwriter, and performer that has far surpassed any small talents that I have.
